Entry #9 Happy Easter!

I remember always waking up super early on Easter, Christmas or any holiday that has once made you believe this specific person brought you gifts.

I stopped believing in the Easter Bunny when I was about in third grade, merely an accident but I was only a tiny bit disappointed.  I was grabbing my mom's phone for her out of her car and I accidently dropped it in the back seat.  When I went to the backseat to grab it, I saw two bags full of candy, one with my name and one with my brother's name.

Of course you know I was about eight years old, no one was watching so I toke a peek, and it had our Easter baskets inside.

Later that day I found out the Easter bunny was not real, I wasn't sad but I wasn't thrilled either.  But as the years go on I didn't even mind if I didn't get anything, I just got used to family always hanging out for the day and eating loads of food and spending time together.  Speaking of which, I need to get back to egg hunting!  I hope you all have a great Easter Sunday!

Sincerely,
Megan

  1. Happy Easter!! Hope you had a wonderful day with your family! Always love reading how different cultures celebrate in different ways but with the same meaning behind it! Growing up we didn't have an Easter Bunny, I always knew they (my parents) were the "Easter Bunny" and I hated that lol! So now that I have kids I get to lay out my own rules and make my kids believe there is an Easter Bunny and I love the joy in their faces from them believing in it!

  2. Happy Easter! I actually never believed in the easter bunny, the tooth fairy, or Santa, which is different but it could have been fun to. Glad you weren't heart broken by it because I know some people were.
